Here is why:
Give me a project, a goal, a task and I am all about organisation. Gathering the information, reading up on the topic, putting together the proposal, getting the work done.
But here is why I am bad at it: if it is not a project, if I don't have a deadline or a schedule to it then not only does it not get done, but I don't care to get it done.
So Project 365 is a promise to myself: to get my new years resolutions done, to get my home and my life organised and to work on my own self improvement.
Here is what I have planned for my year:
April 2014: Make working out part of my everyday life
May 2014: Sorting and organising my home
June - August 2014: Work on my arts and crafts projects
September 2014: Work on my garden
October 2014: Work on new recipes
By November, if I have gotten into the habit of making the above part of my everyday life, I will be on track to making myself the person that I want to be.
Every life change starts with a vision board, and this is mine.
Can't wait to see your journey :)
ReplyDeleteIts like i am reading a page in my own book. I am exactly the same if I dont HAVE to do it (task) - it probably won't happen. I want to do the task but then just cant be bothered. Would rather read or do something else. I had the same new years resolution and have so far failed. BUT you have now inspired me to get back on track - There is still more than half a year left.
ReplyDeleteI am a total pinterest addict, but I never actually do anything. I hate the term "new years resolution" cos once you get to 2nd January, you think to yourself "Well, It's too late ... I will do it next year". So yes, start now. With anything. Add 10 minutes of exercise, or make it a plan to organise something every weekend.
DeleteI love this website for organisation: http://theorganisedhousewife.com.au/ - this woman is awesome and a total inspiration. Check out her declutter challenge.
